The winery is located in the municipality of Mainstockheim (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region of Franconia. It was founded in 2005 by Brigitte Günzel-Stintzing (graduate geographer) and Olaf Stintzing (graduate oenologist). The vineyards cover almost three hectares and are planted with the white wine varieties Silvaner, Riesling, Blauer Silvaner, Grüner Veltliner, as Gemischter Satz Weißburgunder and Chardonnay, as well as St. Laurent. Natural viticulture is practised with gentle care of the soil and vines. Great importance is attached to the physiological ripeness of the grapes. The wines are produced in the Vineta (fruity wines aged in steel tanks), LandArt and Premium lines. The aim is to produce creamy and long-lived wines, to which a mandatory malolactic fermentation also contributes. The wines are matured using traditional methods in large wooden barrels and partly in combination with steel tanks. The flagship of the house is "Erdrauch" (from the Premium line), a partly mash-fermented, barrique-aged Silvaner from specially selected vines.
