The winery is located in the municipality of Oberwesel-Dellhofen in the German wine-growing region of the Middle Rhine. It is run by Ute and Albert Lambrich. In 2002, the old estate in the village was abandoned and new estate buildings with a wine tavern were built below the Oberwesel district of Dellhofen. The vineyards cover almost five hectares in the Oberwesel single vineyard Römerkrug. They are 60% planted with Riesling, as well as Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Faberrebe, Pinot Noir and Dornfelder. After a controlled fermentation, the white wines are stored on the fine lees for a longer period of time and 80% of them are vinified dry or semi-dry. The red wines are mash fermented and partly matured in barrique barrels. A noble sweet wine is made from the Faber grape. In years with suitable weather conditions, a Riesling ice wine is also produced.

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
