Laaerberg

The Großlage is located in the 10th district of Favoriten in the cadastral municipality of Oberlaa Stadt in the south of the Austrian capital Wien. The oldest documented mention of Oberlaa dates back to 1324. The vineyards are located between 190 and 250 metres above sea level on the east-facing slope of the Goldberg.

They cover 23 hectares of vineyards in the Goldberg, Haidäcker, Johannespointen, Unteres Feld and Weichseltal vineyards. The soils consist of fine-grained sands and clay marls in the south-western part and gravel in the western part, as well as deep black earth from loess in the lower sites. Most of the wines are served in wine taverns.
