Krispel

Producer description of "Weingut Krispel" Wine offers for "Krispel" in find+buy

The winery is located in the municipality of Neusetz (Hof bei Straden) in the wine-growing region of Vulkanland Steiermark (Austria). In addition to viticulture, there is also Mangalitza (woollen pig) pig breeding, the resulting products are sold from the farm. The "Krispels Genusstheater" restaurant is attached. The aim is to reflect pure, regional flavours and the highest possible quality of life in their products in close connection with nature. The Fundemant was created by Toni Krispel, taken over and expanded by his son Stefan.

Vineyards & grape varieties

The vineyards cover 34 hectares of vines in the Hochstrandl, Kaargebirge, Königsberg, Neusertzberg, Pregucken, Rosenberg, Seindling and Straden vineyards. Grapes are also purchased from contract winegrowers. They are 85% planted with the white wine varieties Welschriesling,Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Morillon, Riesling, Gelber Muskateller, Traminer, Sämling 88 (Scheurebe) and Müller-Thurgau, as well as the red wine varieties Blauburgunder (Pinot Noir) and Blauer Zweigelt. The vineyards are certified organic by the organic inspection body Lacon. Lacon was also responsible for the vineyard classification.
