The winery is located in the free city of Rust in Burgenland (Austria). The coat of arms of this traditional family dates back to 1749 and the business is run by Harald and Christine Kraft. The vineyards cover 8.5 hectares of vines in the areas of Bandkräftn (Baumgarten), Gmärk (Gmerk), Greiner, Großer Wald, Mariental, Öden, Unterer und Oberer Satz, Umriss and Vogelsang. They are planted with the red wine varieties Blaufränkisch, Blauburgunder (Pinot Noir), Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec, and with the white wine varieties Welschriesling, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Muskateller, Grauburgunder and Furmint. Due to the centuries-long cultivation of the soils, partial organic cultivation has been used since the mid-1990s.
