Kolorko

The white grape variety comes from Turkey. The descent (Elkternschaft) is unknown. The late maturing, low-yielding vine has berries with a high proportion of catechin. It produces acidic, mineral white wines with aromas of herbs and citrus. This rare variety is cultivated in the south of Thrace on the north coast of the Sea of Marmara. However, no stocks were recorded in 2016 (statistics Kym Anderson).
