The winery is located in the municipality of Castelbello in the lower Vinschgau Valley in the Italian wine-growing region of South Tyrol (Trentino-South Tyrol). It has been owned by the family since 1786, since 1970 it has been cultivating vines and producing wines in its own cellar. The company is managed by Martin Paul Pohl. The vineyards cover 4.3 hectares of vines at 600 metres above sea level on the steep slopes of the Vinschgauer Sonnenberg. They are planted with the red wine varieties Blauburgunder (70%) and some Cabernet Franc, and 30% with the white wine varieties Weißburgunder, Grauburgunder, Gewürztraminer and Riesling. As with all cultivated fruits, the vineyards are managed according to KIP rules (controlled, integrated production).
