The winery is located in the municipality of Castelbello in the lower Vinschgau Valley in the Italian wine-growing region of South Tyrol
). It has been owned by the family since 1786, since 1970 it has been cultivating vines and producing wines in its own cellar. The company is managed by Martin Paul Pohl. The vineyards cover 4.3 hectares of vines at 600 metres above sea level on the steep slopes of the Vinschgauer Sonnenberg. They are planted with the red wine varieties Blauburgunder (70%) and some Cabernet Franc, and 30% with the white wine varieties Weißburgunder, Grauburgunder, Gewürztraminer and Riesling. As with all cultivated fruits, the vineyards are managed according to KIP rules

The vinification is as natural and gentle as possible. The white wines are aged in stainless steel, the red wines mainly in large wooden barrels or in barriques. The product range includes various red and white wines DOC Vinschgau
. Premium wines are Blauburgunder Fleck Riserva (24 months in barrique) and Gewürztraminer Spätlese (stainless steel). About 24,000 bottles of wine are produced annually; the most important export country is Germany.
