The winery is located in the municipality of Eichstetten (Kaiserstuhl area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. After various foreign placements in New Zealand and Burgundy, as well as working as a cellar master at the Durbacher Winzergenossenschaft, Arndt Köbelin and his wife Monika returned to their parents' farm (which until then had been a pure supplier of grapes) in 2005 and began producing wine. In 2006, construction began on a new winery with modern, functional architecture and a viewing platform. The vineyards cover ten hectares of vines in the single vineyard Herrenbuck (Eichstetten). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Müller-Thurgau, Muscat and Scheurebe, as well as Pinot Noir. New plantings are made with uncloned planting material (Selection Marsall). The vineyards are cultivated according to ecological principles with, for example, organic fertilisation. Fermentation takes place with the vineyard's own yeasts. Depending on the type of wine, the wines are matured in steel tanks, in large wooden barrels or in barriques. A speciality is a light-pressed Pinot Noir ice wine. Noble brandies are also produced.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
