The traditional winery is located in the municipality of Leibnitz (Seggauberg) in the Austrian wine-growing region of southern Styria. It has been family-owned for more than 300 years. Since 1993, the winery has been run by Christa and Nikolaus Kodolitsch. The viticulture is the responsibility of the wine Silberberg mario Weber, who was trained at the viticulture school, is responsible for viticulture. Twice a year, the winery organises art and craft events and three to four times a year gourmet evenings with a gourmet chef including wine accompaniment by winemaker Nikolaus Kodolitsch and wine master Mario Weber.
The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards in the Am Kogelberg and Rosengarten sites. They are planted with the white wine varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Gelber Muskateller, Chardonnay,Pinot Blanc and Welschriesling, as well as with the red wine variety Blauer Wildbacher. The environmentally friendly, near-natural cultivation is carried out according to the guidelines of the KIP (Controlled Integrated Production). The quantity of grapes is reduced by pruning in order to improve quality.
