Koch Hans-Jörg

The German wine lawyer and honorary professor at the University of Mainz Hans-Jörg Koch (*1931) worked full-time as a judge and in ministries. He spent more than 50 years researching and writing about the many aspects of the world of wine. The "Weinrecht Kommentar" (Wine Law Commentary), written with the assistance of Hans H. Hieronimi as well as Gerhard Becker, Klaus Dunkel, Dr. Hans Eichele, Wolfgang Haupt, Gerald Herrbruck and Dr. Thomas Koch, was published for the fourth time in print by Deutscher Fachverlag (Frankfurt/Main) in 2008. The work contains the complete legal texts of the current EU wine law with all EU regulations and directives, as well as the German wine law and all federal states. However, the cooperation between Koch and the publishing house was terminated at the end of 2011.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
