The winery is located in the municipality of Siegendorf in the Leithaberg DAC region of Burgenland (Austria). Since 1988, the estate has been managed by Lenz Moser AG, headquartered in the municipality of Rohrendorf in Lower Austria. The old vineyards were cleared and the new vineyards were mainly planted with red wine. Simon Hahnekamp is the manager. The vineyards cover 24 hectares, which are grouped into a single large vineyard. Of these, 21 hectares are planted with the red wine varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, and 3 hectares with Pinot Blanc. Environmentally conscious viticulture is consistently practised with integrated plant protection, for example with cover crop (permanent cover crop). The red wines are matured for 6 to 18 months in barriques made of French Allier oak. Around 100,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.
There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
