Kentville White

The white grape varieties Kentville White 94-1 and Kentville White 94-2 are two interspecific new crosses between Seyval Blanc x Kentville White 87-1 (Vineland 53035 x Castel 19637). Genes from Vitis labrusca, Vitis lincecumii, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera are included. The hybrids were crossed in Canada by the two breeders Dona Graig and Andrew R. Jaimieson. Both varieties are grown in very small quantities in the province of Nova Scotia. In 2016, 0.3 hectares were reported for Kentville White 94-1 and 0.6 hectares for Kentville White 94-2 (Kym Anderson statistics).
