Kentucky (grape variety)

The red grape variety is an interspecific new breeding between Norton x Concord. It contains genes from Vitis aestivalis, Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in 1887 in the US state of Kentucky by the private breeder J. Childers. No stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
