The "Cantina Terlan" winery is located in the municipality of Terlan in the Adige Valley (Province of Bolzano) in the Italian wine-growing area of South Tyrol ( Trentino-Alto Adige region). It was founded in 1893 by 24 winegrowers. The winegrowers' cooperative has 150 members who cultivate a total of 190 hectares of vineyards. Georg Eyrl is the president, Rudi Kofler is the responsible cellar master. Since 2008, the Cantina Andrian has belonged to the Terlan W inery, where strictly separate grape reception and vinification have taken place since 2009. In the vineyards of the members of the Terlan Winery, the white wine varieties Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Lagrein, Merlot and Schiava Grigia are processed. The wines are produced as DOC Südtiroler and Terlaner. The strictly controlled quality criteria in the vineyard are low yields with processing only healthy, physiologically fully ripe grapes. The high mineral content and the barrenness of the soils give the wines structure and freshness as well as longevity.
