single vineyard in the municipality of Kasel (Ruwertal area) in the German Moselle wine-growing region. The vineyards, which are oriented from the south to the southwest, at an altitude of 150 to 320 metres above sea level with a slope of 15 to 60%, cover 12 hectares of vineyards. They are protected from cold winds by mountains. The medium to deep, brown-coloured and slightly stony Devonian slate weathered soils have a good water retention capacity. The Riesling variety is mainly cultivated here. The vineyards of the Bischöfliche Weingüter Trier, Dominikaner-Weingut C. von Nell-Breuning, Erben von Beulwitz, Karlsmühle and Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt, for example, have shares in the site.
