Kapitelberg

single vineyard in the municipality of Meißen in the German wine-growing region of Saxony. The vineyards, which are oriented from the south to the southwest and have a slope of 5 to 30%, cover 42 hectares of vineyards on loose, stony granite weathered soils with a low percentage of fine soil. Riesling and Burgundy varieties are cultivated here, among others. The Richter Vincenz, Schuh Walter and Stadtweingut Meißen wineries, for example, have shares in the site.
