Kalkgrube

single vineyard in the municipality of Frankweiler (Südliche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. The south to south-east facing vineyards cover 96 hectares of vineyards on loess-covered shell limestone soils. The varieties cultivated here include Riesling, Silvaner, Traminer, Muscat and Pinot Noir. The Argus Peter and Lidy wineries, for example, have shares in the site.
