Situated in the municipality of Langenlois in the Lower Austrian wine growing region of Kamptal. The soil consists of primary rock (Gföhler gneiss with mica slate) with partial loess layers. The airy location allows a late harvest of fully ripe grapes without botrytis. Since 2005, a seven-metre high sculpture made of 130 iron spheres in the shape of a grape, created by the artist Heimo Zobernig (the orange-coloured structure in the centre of the picture), has stood here. The main varieties grown here arePinot Noir, PinotBlanc and Grüner Veltliner. Shares in the reed are, for example, held by the Bründlmayer Willi, Grillmaier, Jurtschitsch, Loimer Fred, Rabl Rudolf and Summerer vineyards.
