The white grape variety originates from Turkey. Synonyms are Beyaz Kabarcik, Kabarcik and Sari Kabarcik. DNA analyses suggest a relationship to the Boğazkere variety. It is suitable as a wine grape, table grape and for the production of sultanas. The variety is now only cultivated in small quantities. However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
