Name (also Juchtenton or Kerosinton) for a characteristic odour and taste, especially in certain white wines. However, it should not be confused with firn (ageing firn). Petrol clay is reminiscent of mineral oil, paraffin, petrol or tanned Juchten leather (leather tanned using birch bark tar).
