The winery was founded in 2011 by Marc Josten, who trained as a viticultural technician before working at wineries in the Ahr, Nahe and Sonoma Valley in California. Vineyards are cultivated in two growing areas, each with 4.5 hectares of vines. Vinification takes place in the municipality of Ahrweiler.
In the Ahr growing region, these are the single vineyard sites Burgberg, Laacherberg and Mönchberg (Mayschoß), which are planted with the white wine variety Pinot Blanc, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir,Pinot Madeleine and Cabernet Cortis. The Mönchberg is classified by the VDP as Grosses Gewächs.
