This important wine trading and production company with headquarters and cellar in Beaune was founded in 1880 by Joseph Drouhin. In 1957 it was taken over by Robert Drouhin, who made it world famous. The extensive vineyard estate in French Burgundy comprises 64 hectares of vineyards in Chablis and on the Côte d'Or with numerous Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites. Furthermore, the Domaine Drouhin vineyard is operated in the US state of Oregon. The top products include red and white wines from the Grand-Cru or Premier-Cru sites Bonnes-Mares (Chambolle-Musigny), Corton-Charlemagne(Aloxe-Corton), Grands Echézeaux(Vosne-Romanée), Les Clos (Chablis), Musigny(Chambolle-Musigny), Puligny-Montrachet (see Montrachet) and Vaudésier (Chablis), as well as the "simple" appellation wines from Chablis, Rully and Saint-Aubin. Around 330,000 cases of wine (almost four million bottles) are produced each year. The company is a member of the renowned PFV (Primum Familiae Vini) family winery association.
