The white grape variety is a new breeding between Olasz Riesling (Welschriesling) x Chasselas. The father variety Zöld Szilvani (Silvaner) stated in the breeding list turned out to be wrong in DNA analyses carried out in 2013. The name means "good Riesling". The cross was made in Hungary by the breeder Pál Kocsis. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
