Jesus Christ's bag

Single vineyard site in the municipality of Deidesheim (Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstrasse area) in the German wine-growing region of the Palatinate. The vineyards, which face southeast to southwest and have a slope gradient of 5 to 20%, comprise 111 hectares of vineyards. The soils consist of loamy sand, partly interspersed with scree and limestone weathered rock. This is a very inhomogeneous site due to its enormous size. Here mainly the Riesling variety is cultivated. The Acham-Magin, Bassermann-Jordan, Biffar Josef, Christmann Arnold, Kimich, Lucashof, Margarethenhof, Reichsrat von Buhl, Reinhardt Stefan, Siben, Spindler Heinrich and Weingut von Winning have shares in the site. There are further individual sites called Herrgottsacker in the two Palatinate municipalities of Dirkheim and Kleinkarlbach.
