Istituto Sperimentale per la Viticoltura ed Enologia

Wine Institute in Conegliano; see there.

Located in the town of Conegliano in the northern Italian region of Veneto, the viticultural institution consists of a viticultural school and research institute. Conegliano is also the starting point of the Prosecco Road, which leads to Valdobbiadene. The two institutions, which were established at different times, are structurally connected but are managed separately. The "Scuola Enologica Cerletti di Conegliano" was founded in 1876 by Giovanni Battista Cerletti as Italy's first viticultural school. The famous chemist and oenologist Antonio Carpenè (1838-1902)...
