The private national and international seminar and training institution "International Wine Institute (IWI)" in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler (Ahr) was founded in 2009 as a professional school for sommeliers by Alexander A. Kohnen, who serves as managing director. Wine seminars and professional training opportunities in several languages are offered for the catering trade, the wine trade and for the wine industry.
