According to DNA analyses carried out in 2018, it originates from a presumably natural cross between Ferral (Achladi) x unknown partner. It is not known whether there is a relationship with the white variety Ohanes (Almeria). It is cultivated in very small quantities in the Castilla-La Mancha region, where less than one hectare of vineyards were designated in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
