Hyperextension

Description of the effect when too much water is added to a wine through wet sugaring (prohibited in Austria and Germany). Such a wine is "overstretched". In contrast to this is the intentional "stretching", i.e. watering a wine, which clearly means unauthorised adulteration of wine (pantschen).
