Hütte

single vineyard in the municipality of Oberemmel (Saar area) in the German Moselle wine-growing region. The steep vineyard, which faces south-southeast to southwest, lies at an altitude of 250 to 320 metres above sea level and has a slope between 30 and 75%. The vineyard area covers five hectares of vines. The site is located in the same side valley as the famous Scharzhofberg and is relatively exposed to the wind due to its high altitude. The soils consist of highly weathered slate with a high percentage of burrs. Here, mainly the Riesling variety is cultivated. The Hövel winery is the sole owner of the site.
