Honey Red

The grape variety originates from Japan. It is a red-berry mutation of the interspecific new variety Ikawa 682 (Kuroshio x Ikawa 239) by the breeder Hideo Ikawa. The berries have a foxtone. The variety is used as table grape and cultivated in Japan and Taiwan. However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
