The "Winzerhof Hoch" is located in the municipality of Hollenburg in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Kremstal. The traditional family name Hoch was first mentioned as early as 1640. The labels show the original coat of arms with oar, grappling hook and anchor, because the Hochs were shipping masters and thus controlled the traffic on the Danube for more than 300 years. In 1990, Harald Hoch and his wife Andrea took over the winery in the 12th family generation. They are supported by their son Christoph (who makes his own wines as a separate winery) and daughter Daniela.

The vineyards comprise 14 hectares of vines on very chalky soils characterised by conglomerate rock in the Blauer Berg, Kleedorf, Kogl and Steingarten vineyards. The white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Gelber Muskateller,Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Bl anc make up 90% of the vineyards, and the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blauer Portugieser, St. Laur ent and Blauburger make up 10%. Quality criteria are targeted pruning and gentle soil cultivation.
