Himmelberg

single vineyard in the municipality of Michelfeld (Kraichgau area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. The vineyards, which are mainly south-southeast and partly southwest-facing, are 160 to 240 metres above sea level with a slope of 20 to 30% and cover 19 hectares of vineyards. The soils consist of deep loess with a high lime content. The vineyard is interspersed with slopes and hedges. The varieties cultivated here are Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Auxerrois. The vineyard is the sole property of the Reichsgraf und Marquis zu Hoensbroech wine estate. There is another single vineyard called Himmelberg in the municipality of Leinach/Oberleinach (Franconia).
