The winery is located in the village of Siklós in the Hungarian wine region of Villány. It was founded in the late 1990s by the Swiss-German couple Evelyne and Erhard Heumann and was gradually built up. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vineyards, which are planted with the red wine varieties Cabernet Franc, Kékfrankos (Blaufränkisch), Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, as well as the white wine varieties Rheinriesling, Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer.

Around 90% of the areas have the premium status of DHC (Districtus Hungaricus Controllatus) Villány. The DHC regulations stipulate, among other things, a planting density of at least 5,000 vines per hectare, which is exceeded with up to 7,000 vines per hectare. The yield of the red wine varieties is 30 to 40 hl/ha, which is significantly below the DHC requirements of 60 hl/ha. The yield is also reduced accordingly for the white wine varieties.
