Hetera

The white grape variety (also HTCVCB 4/13) is a new variety between Tramín Cervený(Gewürztraminer) x Veltlínske Červené Biele (red-white Veltliner). Incidentally, the new variety Děvín was also created with the same parents. The cross was made in 1965 in Slovakia (then Czechoslovakia) by Dorata Pospisilova. Variety protection was granted in 2011. The late-maturing, high-yielding vine with reddish berries is susceptible to botrytis and powdery mildew. It is used for the production of noble sweet wines. The variety was cultivated on five hectares in Slovakia in 2010 (ex Wine Grapes).
