The "Herrenhof Elmar Schmitzer & Sohn" winery is located in the municipality of Eschbach (Südliche Weinstraße area) at the foot of the Madenburg in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. An estate tavern is also operated and several guest rooms are offered for rent. The farm is run by Elmar Schmitzer. The vineyards cover 25 hectares of vines in the single vineyard Hasen (Eschbach). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Rieslaner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Gelber Muskateller, Müller-Thurgau and Kerner, as well as with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, St. Laurent, Merlot, Dornfelder and Blauer Portugieser. Organic viticulture is practised according to the rules of the ECOVIN association.
