The Johann and Gerti Heinrich winery is located in the municipality of Deutschkreutz in the Austrian DAC area of Central Burgenland. The traditional family has been growing wine for over 300 years. The motto of the house is: "Winegrowing is not an eight-hour day for us, it is our life". The vineyards cover 40 hectares of vines in, for example, the Goldberg reed, where eight hectares are planted with Blaufränkisch vines, some of which are over 50 years old. They are planted with the red wine varieties Blaufränkisch (80% of the total area), Zweigelt, Blauburgunder, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. Wine-growing is consistently practised in close contact with nature. The famous Château Cheval Blanc in the French region of Pomerol (Bordeaux) served as a model for the new round cellar, which was put into operation in 2001 and in which the stainless steel tanks are arranged in a circle
