The "Wein- & Sektgut Hemer GbR" is located in the municipality of Abenheim (Wonnegau area) in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen. The main house, which is still in use today, was built by the great-grandparents Karl and Anna-Maria Jennewein in 1902. The formerly mixed agricultural business was converted to pure viticulture in the 1960s. Today, the farm is run by Andreas and Stefan Hemer. The vineyards cover 30 hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Kapellenstück and Klausenberg (Abenheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Silvaner, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Kerner, Chardonnay, Gelber Muskateller, Gewürztraminer, Scheurebe, Bacchus, Morio Muskat, Faberrebe, Solaris, Huxelrebe and Ortega, as well as the red wine varieties Dornfelder, Portugieser, Pinot Noir, Merlot, St. Laurent, Frühburgunder, Regent and Cabernet Dorsa.
