Haus des Deutschen Weines

The building in the old town of Mainz, the capital of the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, is the seat of the German Wine Academy. Until 2016 it was also the headquarters of the DWF (German Wine Fund) and DWI (German Wine Institute), which moved into an office building in the community of Bodenheim in April of this year. The HDW is located in the immediate vicinity of the Staatstheater Mainz and Gutenberg-Denkmal. There is a restaurant on the ground floor and on the façade are selected coats of arms from the German wine growing regions.
