Hardtberg

single vineyard in the municipality of Dernau in the German wine-growing region of Ahr. The south-east to west-facing vineyards at an altitude of 125 to 260 metres above sea level with a slope of 10 to 60% cover 22 hectares of vines. The soils consist of weathered greywacke with loess and loam in the lower areas. The Pinot Noir, Frühburgunder and Müller-Thurgau varieties are cultivated here. The wineries Ahr Winzer eG, Bertram-Baltes, Kreuzberg, Maibachfarm, Meyer-Näkel, Jean Stodden, Riske Erwin and Riske Reinhold, for example, have shares in the site. There is another single vineyard called Hardtberg in the Ahr municipality of Rech.
