Handle cork

A special type of cork (also known as a grip stopper or stopper cork) in which a slightly larger piece of plastic is placed on top of the usual cork, which is rounded at the front. The stopper itself can also be made of plastic. The circumference of the grip piece corresponds exactly to the circumference of the bottle neck. The advantage of this type of closure is that the bottle is easy to open without tools such as a corkscrew, and it is also easy to reclose. Grip corks are mainly used for drinks where you do not enjoy a whole bottle at once (as is usually the case with wine), but have to reseal it several times. These are mainly various spirits, liqueurs and dessert wines, such as certain types of port wine, which are already marketed with such closures. There is also the special form "lamella grip stopper" (in the picture on the far left), in which several lamellae with a slightly larger diameter than the neck of the bottle are attached to the closure to ensure an even better or tighter closure.
