Halde (single location Germany)

Isolated location in the municipalities of Illingen, Mühlacker, Mühlhausen, Roßwag and Vaihingen (Württembergisch Unterland area) in the German Württemberg growing region. The vineyards, which face west to south-east and are partly terraced, with a slope gradient of 10 to 70%, comprise over 90 hectares of vineyard area. Due to its size, it is a very inhomogeneous site with varying conditions. The best sections are located in the steep terraces of the municipalities of Mühlhausen and Roßwag. The soils consist mainly of shell limestone and Latvians. The Steinbachhof vineyard, for example, has a share in the site.

There are other individual sites called Halde in the communities or growing areas of Bad Cannstadt (Württemberg), Hochburg (Baden), Weisenheim am Sand (Palatinate) and Zunsweier (Baden).
