The winery in Döbling in the 19th district of Wien (Heiligenstadt district) was founded in 2002 by the restaurateur Stefan Hajszan. In 2007 a new winery was put into operation. In 2011, architect Heinz Neumann joined as a strategic partner, and the name was changed to Hajszan-Neumann. The business also included a Buschenschank on the Nußberg and the restaurant "Die Winzerei". The vineyards were developed on a total of 20 hectares of vineyards. They are located on the Nußberg, as well as in Grinzing, Heiligenstadt, Neustift and Obersievering and are planted to 70% with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Chardonnay and Gemischter Satz, and to 30% with Zweigelt. One hectare of Riesling is cultivated on the Pfaffenberg in Stein-Krems in the wine-growing region of Kremstal (Lower Austria).
