The winery is located in the municipality of Kernen-Stetten (Remstal-Stuttgart area) in the German wine-growing region of Württemberg. Hans Haidle took over the business from his father in 1968 and increased the estate from one hectare to its current size. Today, Moritz Haidle is the third generation of the family to run the business. After his apprenticeship with Thomas Seeger (Kurpfalz/North Baden) and Gunter Künstler (Rheingau), and his studies in viticulture and oenology in Geisenheim, son Moritz Haidle has been responsible for the development of the wines since 2014. The vineyards cover 23 hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Häder, Lindhälder, Mönchberg and Pulvermächer (Stetten), Altenberg, Burghalde and Sonnenberg (Schnait), as well as Nonnenberg (Strümpfelbach). The best plots are located in the central, partly terraced section of the single vineyard Stettener Pulvermächer, which rises directly behind the winery building. The white wine varieties Riesling (16 ha) and Kerner, as well as the red wine varieties Trollinger (Schiava Grossa,Pinot Noir and Lemberger (Blaufränkisch) are cultivated.
