The winery is located in the municipality of Mollands-Schönberg in the Lower Austrian wine growing region of Kamptal. The traditional family has been living here since 1640. The first vineyards were stock cultures, from which natural quality wine was produced for friends and for their own use. Today the business is managed by Oskar Hager. The vineyards comprise 13 hectares of vines, for example the Kalvarienberg and Seeberg vineyards. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Sämling 88, Sauvignon Blanc and Frühroter Veltliner, as well as the red wine variety Zweigelt. We consistently practice winegrowing close to nature. The grapes obtained by selective harvesting are carefully processed in the 300 year old vaulted cellar. The premium wines include various Rieslings and Grüner Veltliner Kamptal DAC and Kamptal DAC Reserve and the barrique-aged Zweigelt Grande Reserve. In years with suitable weather conditions an ice wine is also produced.
