Situated in the municipality of Göttlesbrunn in the Lower Austrian wine region of Carnuntum. A subriede is the picture point named after a martyr (wayside shrine). The area is endangered by hail, from which the name Hagelsberg is derived. The medium-heavy soils consist of loamy sand and sandy loess and have a good water supply. In some places, small limestone inclusions and loess with a humus layer can also be found. The varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, St. Laurent, Blauer Portugieser, Chardonnay, Gelber Muskateller and Weißburgunder(Pinot Blanc) are cultivated here. Shares in the vineyard are held by the vineyards Markowitsch Lukas, Ott Stefan, Pimpel, Pitnauer and Taferner Franz.
In the past, you needed a wealth of encyclopaedias and specialist literature to keep up to date in your vinophile professional life. Today, Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one of my best helpers and can rightly be called the "bible of wine knowledge".
