H. Bader

The winery is located in the municipality of Kernen-Stetten (Remstal-Stuttgart area) in the German Württemberg wine growing region. It is managed by Hans and Iris Bader. The vineyards comprise six hectares of vineyards in the individual locations of Häder, Lindhälder, Mönchberg and Pulvermächer (Stetten). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling (40%), Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc and Saphira, and with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Heroldrebe, Lemberger (Blaufränksich), Blauer Portugieser, Zweigelt, Trollinger (Schiava Grossa), Merlot, Regent, Hegel, Cabertin and Cabernet Dorsa. We practice natural, environmentally friendly viticulture with integrated plant protection. Quality enhancing measures are short pruning and yield reduction. The white wines mature in stainless steel, the red wines in traditional, large wooden barrels, the "Iris" line and premium Pinot Noir in new barriques. We also produce bottle-fermented sparkling wines, semi-sparkling wines and noble spirits (marc, yeast). The winery is a member of the associations Württembergische Weingüter, Remstal-Route, Slow Food Deutschland and Generation Riesling. The Singer Julian wines are also produced in the winery's cellar. In the vinotheque "Weinkorb" (basket) the wines are offered by both.
