The winery is located in the municipality of Gols (Obere Hauptstraße 38) in the Burgenland wine-growing region of Neusiedlersee (Austria). The origins lie in the Gsellmann & Gsellmann winery, which existed until 2005. Then it was separated into the two wineries Gsellmann Matthias and the winery now run by Andreas Gsellmann. The vineyards cover 19 hectares of vineyards in Gols and Weiden in the Altenberg, Gabarinza, Goldberg, Rosenberg, Salzberg, Spiegel and Ungerberg vineyards. Three quarters of the vineyards are planted with the red wine varieties Zweigelt (main variety with 35%), Blaufränkisch, St. Laurent and Merlot, and one quarter with the white wine varieties Pinot Blanc, Neuburger, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Traminer, Welschriesling and Mischsatz. Biodynamic cultivation is carried out according to the guidelines of the Bioverein Respekt. In 2007, the conversion to biodynamic viticulture took place according to Respekt BIODYN rules.
Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
