Grover Vineyards

The winery in the Dodballapur Mountains south of the Technology Center Bangalore in the state of Karnataka in India was founded in 1988 by Kanwal K. Grover. The vineyards cover more than 40 hectares of vineyards planted with the Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Clairette varieties. The wines are vinified according to the French model. The wines are vinified according to the French model. French advice is provided by Michel Rolland (born in 1947), the oenologist in charge, and Bruno Yvon, who is responsible for the cellar. The most important wines are the dry Grover's Red (Cabernet Sauvignon and some Shiraz) and Grover's White (Clairette), as well as the Grover's Rosé in dry and semi-dry versions, which is only left on the mash for a few hours. Around 600,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.
