Grossarth

The winery is located in the community of Odernheim am Glan in the German Nahe wine region. A bunch economy and a gift shop is attached. The vineyards comprise seven hectares of vineyards in the individual locations Heßweg and Kloster Disibodenberg (Odernheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Bacchus and Ehrenfelser, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir and Dornfelder

The cultivation is carried out according to the guidelines of the e.V. Kontrolliert umweltschonender Weinbau Rheinland-Pfalz. In summer, appropriate measures are taken to reduce yields in order to improve quality. Only ripe and healthy grapes are carefully processed by selective manual harvesting. The wines are produced in the quality categories estate wines, site wines and brand wines. To preserve the natural aromas, a cool fermentation is carried out at a temperature of 16° Celsius. The wines mature for several months on the fine yeast. In years suitable for the weather, ice wine is also pressed. The winery is a member of the association Generation Riesling.
