Gros Vert

The white grape variety originates from France. Synonyms are Abbondaza, Aubin, Augevin, Gros Guillaume, Gros Vert Bijeli, Gros Vert Blanc, Gros Vert Tardif, Guerbez, Late Syrian, Pedro Ximenes Faux, Plant de Michel, Raisin de Michel, Raisin de Saint Jeannet, Rheinelbe, Saint Jeannet, Servan Blanc, Servant, Verdal and Verdona. It must not be confused with the varieties Aubin Blanc, Aubin Vert or Servant, despite seemingly indicating synonyms or morphological and name similarities. The parentage is unknown. The variety was/is mainly used as table grape, but also as wine grape. However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (statistics Kym Anderson).
